For Summer 2021, we are stoked to be adding SUMMER FITNESS CAMPS run by Fernie Mountain Fitness and their certified coaches.
Cross-training and strength development helps to keep our young athletes balanced, strong and also helps to reduce sport specific injuries. Strength and conditioning is an integral part of an athlete's journey in sport, especially as your athlete begins to train and compete at higher levels.
The Summer Fitness Camps are age appropriate strength and conditioning training focused on young athletes to help maintain and build their fitness in a safe, positive and coached environment.
FMF Coaches will be working on overall strength with our Freestyle athletes, which includes a large focus on core strength, balance, agility, power and coordination. The programming will consist of appropriate exercises for our group and each individual, with a combination of body weight movements, plyometrics, and the addition of external weights where appropriate (medicine balls, dumbbells, barbells, etc.)
