Focus Progression of Skills

More advanced skill development – learning tricks, spins, boxes, rails and progression of jumps in a safe environment.


Before you register for the season can your athlete do the following: 


1. Get on all chairs unassisted?
2. Ski parallel turns with poles?
3. Ski mostly blue and black runs at Fernie Alpine Resort?


There are Two Options for Freestylerz: Competitive & Non-Competitive​

FREESTYLERZ NON-COMPETITIVE ONE DAY PROGRAM SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS FOR AGES 8-17: for freestyle athletes who are interested in being introduced to or continue to grow their freestyle skiing.

23 Days of Skiing including 8 days of Christmas Camp.

Must pick Saturday or Sunday Switching days will not be an option due to logistic challenges in ensuring athlete safety with proper number & skill level of coaches. Sat & Sun availability will depend on coaches & athlete sign up ratios.

Focus on lots of ski time/lots of fun.

Athletes grouped based on age & skill level. 8:1 athlete to coach ratio. Introduction to all areas of freestyle ski disciplines depending on age, ability & documented personal goals. Skills development & coaching throughout each day of the program.

Start Date: Saturday December 14 OR Sunday December 15

End Date: Saturday April 4 OR Sunday April 5

No lessons on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Cost $1025 (If registered by November 15, 2019) or $1125 for registrations after November 21-registration close

FREESTYLERZ COMPETITIVE ONE & ONE-HALF DAY PROGRAM ON SATURDAYS (9am to 3pm) & SUNDAYS (9am-1pm) AGES 8-17: for athletes who are keen to improve skills to compete there is training on Sat & Sun. Focus on comp skills development in freestyle & all mountain.

Any athlete can register for this 1 1/2 day program.

The 1 1/2 day program will suit those that would like to build their competitive skills in freestyle skiing. These athletes want to develop from Learn to Train and Train to Train into Train to Compete. Our competitive skiers plan to attend 4-6 competitions during the season. There may also be the option of training at Norquay or Apex in late Nov at an additional cost.

Sat & Sun activities will be a mix of skills training on training sites & free skiing. Athletes will be grouped based on age & skill level but total numbers will dictate the composition of these groups. Club commitment to low athlete to coach ratio. Continued development in all areas of the freestyle ski disciplines depending on age, ability & documented personal goals. Skills development & coaching throughout each day of the program.
